Creating a living sustainable ecosystem
This paradise, located at kibbutz Tzora, Was built with love in memory of our friend, the legendary and beloved Gideon Kormes.
We built it in order to utilize wasted runoff groundwater and create a natural sustainable ecosystem, a complete bio system oasis, home for animals, birds, insects and nature loving people.
We have begun creating this oasis 8 years ago. it is made of two components - a natural pond and another pond used as a biological filter that cleans the water, while some of it returning underground.
The vegetation infrastructure is based on tough pioneer plants, mostly defined as invasive species.
For a while we let nature do its thing and go wild and then we made it home for two donkeys who paved the paths and fertilized the ground of the garden with their perfect dungs.
